Raymond Corporation and Toyota Material Handling are expanding their presence in upstate New York with a new test center focused on battery and fuel cell technology. The new site will support research and testing of advanced energy systems for Raymond and Toyota lift trucks.

What’s Related

Raymond has more than 2,500 workers in New York and says the new center could create up to 40 new jobs.

“This new Honeoye Falls site reflects our shared commitment to creating high-quality jobs and advancing next-generation energy technologies,” said Michael G. Field, Chief Operations Officer of Toyota Material Handling North America (TMHNA). “With strong support from Empire State Development and local partners, we’re building on our legacy of innovation while driving sustainable economic growth in New York.”

Raymond will also lease space on Carriage Street in Honeoye Falls for fuel cell testing and expects that facility to open in late 2027. That project includes up to $400,000 in state tax credits and is expected to add 20 more jobs.

Altogether, the two projects are expected to bring 60 new jobs to Monroe County.

“I’m proud to see our vision for sustainable innovation come to life in the Finger Lakes region,” said Jennifer Lupo, Vice President of Technology Solutions at TMHNA. “We’re excited to grow our presence in New York and to collaborate with partners who share our commitment to building a more innovative and energy-efficient future.”
