Hindustan Oil Exploration Company Ltd (HOEC) on Wednesday saw a rejig in its top leadership, with Managing Director Ramasamy Jeevanandam stepping down and Baroruchi Mishra being appointed as Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer from April 1, 2026.
Jeevanandam will relinquish office at the close of business hours on March 31, 2026, citing health issues and personal reasons. He has been with HOEC for over 11 years, serving more than 8.5 years as Executive Director & Chief Financial Officer before taking over as Managing Director two years ago.
Following his resignation, the Board has approved the appointment of Baroruchi Mishra as Managing Director & CEO for a three-year term beginning April 1, 2026, subject to shareholder approval. With effect from February 25, 2026, Mishra has been designated as Non-Executive Non-Independent Director.
Mishra is a techno-commercial executive with over 35 years of experience across the Oil & Gas and New Energies sectors. He currently serves as Partner and Group CEO of NET Enterprise Group, which provides EPC, engineering, digitalisation, and energy transition services globally.
In 2022, he was shortlisted by the Public Enterprise Selection Board for the Chairman and Managing Director position of ONGC.
The company also appointed Jagadip Narayan Singh as Additional Director (Non-Executive Independent) & Chairman with effect from January 23, 2026, for a five-year term, subject to shareholder approval.
Singh is a retired IAS officer of the Gujarat cadre and former Chief Secretary of Gujarat. He has held senior positions in finance, revenue, and administration, and has led state entities in Gujarat, including GSPC, GSPL, and Gujarat Gas. He also served as Member (Finance) at the National Highways Authority of India.
