As India charts its pathway towards 100 GWe of nuclear capacity by 2047, the event will place a strong emphasis on nuclear energy.

India Energy Week (IEW) 2026, hosted under the patronage of the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas, Government of India, and jointly organised by the Federation of Indian Petroleum Industry (FIPI) and dmg events, will be held at ONGC ATI, Goa, from 27–30 January 2026. Now in its fourth edition, IEW stands among the world’s most influential energy platforms, fostering global cooperation on energy security, affordability and sustainability.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will virtually inaugurate the event. The inaugural session will feature addresses by Hardeep Singh Puri, Union Minister for Petroleum & Natural Gas, and Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber, Minister and Managing Director of ADNOC.

International dignitaries participating in the inauguration include Tim Hodgson, Minister of Energy & Natural Resources, Government of Canada; Michel Heijdra, Vice Minister for Climate Policy and Green Growth, Kingdom of the Netherlands; and Arzybek Kozhoshev, Minister-in-Charge of Energy, Eurasian Economic Union.

Senior leadership from India’s oil and gas sector will also be present at IEW 2026, including AK Singh, Chairman and Managing Director, ONGC; AS Sahney, Chairman and Managing Director, IndianOil; Ranjit Rath, Chairman and Managing Director, Oil India; Sanjay Khanna, Chairman and Managing Director (I/C) and Director (Refineries), BPCL; and Vikas Kaushal, Chairman and Managing Director, HPCL, among others.

Power and nuclear energy to take centre stage

A key highlight of IEW 2026 will be the strong participation of the power sector, including major public sector undertakings such as NTPC, as well as state-owned power generation, transmission, and distribution companies.

As India charts its pathway towards 100 GWe of nuclear capacity by 2047, the event will place a strong emphasis on nuclear energy.

BC Pathak, Chairman and Managing Director, Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited (NPCIL), along with Gurdeep Singh, Chairman and Managing Director, NTPC, will participate in deliberations on India’s emerging nuclear sector.

Global pavilions and ‘Make in India’ focus anchor exhibition

The IEW 2026 exhibition will feature an expanded and diverse pavilion ecosystem which reflects the scale and international depth of participation. Nine international country pavilions from Canada, Italy, Norway, China, Japan, the United Kingdom, Germany, the Netherlands, and the United States will showcase national strategies, transition technologies, and industrial capabilities, reinforcing IEW’s role as a catalyst for cross-border collaboration, policy dialogue, and investment.

Indian public sector undertakings (PSUs) will anchor the exhibition, highlighting domestic capabilities, R&D leadership and India’s progress across the conventional and new-energy sectors. A dedicated Make in India (Indigenisation) Pavilion, led by Engineers India Limited (EIL), will showcase the indigenous technologies, engineered equipment and domestic supply chains.

PSUs to showcase transition technologies

The IndianOil Pavilion will present India’s integrated energy roadmap across hydrocarbons, renewables, green hydrogen, biofuels, sustainable aviation fuel (SAF), EV infrastructure and digitalisation. HPCL will highlight indigenous technologies in hydrogen mobility, batteries, biofuels and advanced manufacturing. BPCL will showcase initiatives spanning artificial intelligence, petrochemicals expansion, sustainability, ethanol-blended fuels and investments across the natural gas value chain.

The Industry Biofuels Pavilion will feature India’s progress in ethanol blending, biodiesel revival, SAF and compressed biogas (CBG), supported by advanced physical and digital models, including integrated biorefineries and biomass-to-green hydrogen pathways.

Overall, IEW 2026 will bring together over 75,000 energy professionals, 700+ exhibiting companies, and stakeholders from more than 120 countries. Parallel conferences will attract over 6,500 delegates and feature more than 550 speakers across 110 sessions, making the industry meet a truly global convergence of policymakers, industry leaders, technology providers and investors, and a defining platform shaping the future of global and Indian energy systems.
