Larsen & Toubro (L&T) on Thursday said its hydrocarbon onshore business has secured an ‘ultra-mega’ engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) order for setting up a Natural Gas Liquids (NGL) plant and allied facilities in the Middle East.
L&T categorises orders above ₹15,000 crore as ultra-mega in value.
The order, awarded to L&T Energy Hydrocarbon (LTEH) Onshore in consortium with Consolidated Contractors Group S.A.L. (Offshore) (CCC), involves the engineering, procurement, construction, installation and commissioning of the NGL facility to process Rich Associated Gas (RAG) sourced from both offshore and onshore oil fields.
Under the consortium structure, L&T will act as the lead partner, overseeing engineering and procurement, while CCC will execute construction. The project scope includes utilities, offsites, and integration with existing brownfield facilities.
The RAG will be treated to remove impurities such as hydrogen sulphide (H₂S), carbon dioxide (CO₂), and water (H₂O), producing lean sales gas, ethane, propane, butane, and condensate as value-added outputs.
