TotalEnergies, KOC sign cooperation agreement on exploration studies

(WO) – TotalEnergiesand Kuwait Oil Company have signed a memorandum of understanding to strengthen technical cooperation and advance studies related to potential exploration opportunities in Kuwait.

Under the agreement, the two companies will exchange technical expertise and collaborate on subsurface and upstream-focused studies aimed at supporting Kuwait’s long-term resource development objectives. TotalEnergies will contribute technical capabilities to support the evaluation of new exploration prospects.

The MoU builds on the companies’ longstanding relationship in Kuwait and is intended to inform future upstream projects as the country seeks to further develop its hydrocarbon resources.

Patrick Pouyanné, chairman and CEO of TotalEnergies, said the agreement reflects the companies’ shared ambition to contribute to Kuwait’s resource development goals and to deepen their long-term cooperation through technical collaboration.
