TrusTrace, Retailers Launch New Human Rights Due Diligence Platform

Supply chain traceability solutions provider TrusTrace, alongside a group of retailers, announced the launch of a new due diligence questionnaire, aimed at streamlining compliance on Human Rights and Environmental Due Diligence (HREDD) for the apparel and footwear sector.

The initiative will be facilitated by One Retail Hub, a new free digital platform developed in partnership with nonprofits Cascale and Fair Wear and retailers and retailers including ABOUT YOU, ASOS, Boozt, Ellos Group, New Look, The Very Group and Zalando.

According to TrusTrace, the new questionnaire and digital platform are being launched as sustainability and supply chain data demands on fashion companies intensifies, while the emergence of disparate solutions has created a fragmented landscape of initiatives and systems, resulting in significant administrative burdens for companies, and particularly for small and medium-sized enterprises.

The new self-assessment HREDD questionnaire is designed to establish a consistent, industry-wide baseline for ethical sourcing across complex global supply chain, allowing companies to navigate a complex reporting landscape, according to the company.

According to TrusTrace, a key feature of the new platform is AI-assisted completion, based on sustainability reports and existing documentation, which will allow brands to share responses with multiple retailers instantly. The platform also provides a data-driven mechanism to identify gaps, offering real-time results and tailored recommendations for effective remediation and corrective measures, TrusTrace said.

Founded in 2016, Stockholm-based TrusTrace provides a platform for supply chain traceability and compliance, enabling brands and suppliers to standardize how supply chain and material traceability data is captured, digitized, and shared across the fashion, footwear and textiles sectors.

Shameek Ghosh, co-founder and CEO of TrusTrace said:

“By building a unified platform for HREDD data exchange, we’re eliminating the duplicative reporting burden that has strained suppliers and brands alike—especially SMEs. This is how industries accelerate progress: collaborative systems that transform compliance complexity into strategic clarity.”
