(WO) — TechnipFMC has been awarded a substantial engineering, procurement, construction and installation (EPCI) contract by Eni S.p.A. for the Coral North development, the second floating liquefied natural gas (FLNG) project offshore Mozambique.

The project is located in water depths of about 2,000 meters (6,561 feet) and represents a follow-on development to Coral South, the world’s first FLNG project in ultradeep water. For TechnipFMC, a “substantial” contract is valued between $250 million and $500 million. The award was included in the company’s inbound orders for the second quarter of 2025.
Jonathan Landes, president of Subsea for TechnipFMC, said the company will build on its prior experience in the region.
“We are excited to once again work with Eni and their consortium partners in Mozambique. We will leverage our experience gained from the successful delivery of Coral South—the world’s first FLNG project in ultradeep water—by replicating our proven playbook with an enhanced approach,” Landes said.
Under the contract, TechnipFMC will manufacture and install flexible flowlines and risers, and will also install subsea manifolds and umbilicals to support the offshore gas development.
