Coca-Cola has agreed to make a series of changes to the recycling claims on its plastic bottles, according to a statement today by the European Commission, following a greenwashing complaint made by the European Consumer Organisation (BEUC). The agreement follows an alert issued in November 2023 by the BEUC, along with member organizations from 13 countires against bottling companies including Coca-Cola, Danone and Nestlé, reporting that the companies were making misleading commercial claims about the recyclability of their products. Amigo LNG S.A. de C.V., the Mexican subsidiary of Singapore-based LNG Alliance, has signed a definitive 15-year liquefied natural gas (LNG) sales and purchase agreement (SPA) with Oman. Under the agreement signed with OQ Trading (OQT), the international energy and commodity trading vehicle of the Oman government, OQT will purchase 0.6 million metric tons per annum (mtpa) of LNG free on board from Amigo LNG’s export terminal in Sonora, Mexico. Cairo: Egypt’s non-oil private sector economy contracted further in April after a decline in domestic and foreign demand caused new orders and output to fall for a second month, according to a survey released on Tuesday.The S&P Global Egypt PMI headline index dropped to 48.5 in April from 49.2 in March, marking the lowest reading so far in 2025. A comprehensive life cycle assessment (LCA) conducted by the Global Centre for Maritime Decarbonisation (GCMD) quantifies OCCS’s potential to provide GHG emissions savings.
