ExxonMobil on Wednesday announced an agreement with Calpine Corporation, the nation’s largest producer of electricity from natural gas, to transport and permanently store up to 2 million metric tons per annum (Mmtpa) of CO2 from Calpine’s Baytown Energy Center, a cogeneration facility near Houston. OMV today announced the successful start-up of its 10 megawatts green hydrogen production plant, located at the Schwechat refinery near Vienna, the largest of its kind in Austria.
