(WO) – Siemens has opened its first Digital Industries Software office in Saudi Arabia, expanding its local presence as the Kingdom advances industrial modernization and energy-related digital initiatives under Vision 2030.
The new office will allow Siemens to provide in-country contracting, technical support and collaboration for Saudi customers, including those in the energy, industrial manufacturing, mobility and infrastructure sectors. Company officials said the local presence is intended to improve project execution timelines and align operations with Saudi commercial and regulatory requirements.
For the energy sector, Siemens’ Digital Industries Software portfolio includes tools used in engineering design, simulation, manufacturing operations and data integration—technologies increasingly applied in oil and gas, petrochemicals and power projects to improve efficiency, asset performance and lifecycle management.
The Saudi entity will operate as part of Siemens Saudi Arabia, headquartered in Jeddah, with activity across Riyadh, Jeddah and Khobar. Siemens said it plans to build a local workforce over time and work with universities and industry partners to support skills development aligned with Saudization objectives.
Saudi Arabia’s energy and industrial sectors are central to Vision 2030, with ongoing investments aimed at boosting efficiency, localization and digital capability across upstream, downstream and infrastructure projects. Siemens’ expanded presence positions the company to support those efforts through software-based engineering and industrial solutions.
