• Schneider Electric introduces Boost Pro, a scalable battery storage solution for commercial and industrial buildings across Europe, ranging from 200 kWh to 2 MWh.
• The system supports renewable integration, peak load reduction, and EV fleet charging, while offering certified cybersecurity and AI-driven energy optimization.
• Launch aligns with Europe’s electrification surge and growing grid constraints, offering businesses greater resilience and cost efficiency.

Europe’s Push for Smarter Energy Storage

Schneider Electric has unveiled Schneider Boost Pro, a modular battery energy storage system designed to help European commercial and industrial sites reduce costs, stabilize power use, and decarbonize operations.

The launch comes as Europe’s electricity landscape rapidly transforms. Renewables already generate half of the EU’s electricity, yet grid limitations and intermittent supply continue to hinder further expansion. Schneider’s new system is engineered to address these structural challenges by adding local flexibility and supporting energy independence.

Jean-Baptiste Hazard, Senior Vice President and Head of eMobility at Schneider Electric, said the company’s customers face rising grid pressures and accelerating electrification. “By 2030, commercial and industrial buildings will face up to 35% higher electricity demand, largely due to EV charging infrastructure. Yet many are constrained by limited grid capacity,” he noted. “Boost Pro helps balance renewable variability and peak demand while improving operational resilience.”

Scalable Design for Growing Energy Needs

Schneider Boost Pro can scale from 200 kWh to 2 MWh by combining up to ten modular units, making it suitable for both small facilities and large industrial sites. The system integrates with Schneider Electric’s EcoStruxure platform, connecting power distribution, EV charging, software, and analytics into one end-to-end energy management ecosystem.

Use cases span self-consumption optimization, backup power, tariff management, and grid balancing. Businesses can store excess renewable energy, shift loads to cheaper off-peak hours, and even generate revenue by responding to grid operator flexibility requests.

The technology also targets the transport and logistics sector. Schneider Boost Pro can support heavy-duty vehicle depots and roadside infrastructure where stable, high-capacity charging is essential.

Cybersecurity and AI Integration

Schneider emphasizes security and intelligence as core design principles. Boost Pro is certified “cybersecure by design,” featuring encrypted communication protocols and continuous system monitoring. It also connects to the company’s AI-powered EcoStruxure Microgrid Advisor, which forecasts weather, energy demand, and market conditions to optimize battery dispatch and improve return on investment.

The platform’s predictive capabilities allow site operators to anticipate peak demand events and market fluctuations, strengthening cost control and enabling automated participation in grid services.

Supporting Europe’s Energy Transition

Europe’s transition toward electrified, low-carbon economies depends increasingly on distributed storage and intelligent grid management. With demand for electricity projected to rise sharply in the next decade, solutions like Boost Pro are critical to bridging the gap between renewable variability and consumption growth.

Schneider Electric’s offering reflects a broader trend among energy technology providers moving to localize resilience—placing power management closer to where it’s used. For companies facing volatile energy markets and pressure to decarbonize, localized storage solutions offer both strategic flexibility and a pathway to emissions reduction.

Strategic Takeaway for Business Leaders

For C-suite executives and energy managers, Schneider Boost Pro represents a concrete tool to mitigate grid dependency and volatility risks while aligning corporate operations with net-zero strategies. Its modular structure allows incremental investment, scaling alongside site expansion or electrification needs.

As European regulations tighten around renewable integration and corporate sustainability reporting, smart storage systems will increasingly shape how businesses demonstrate climate alignment and operational resilience. Schneider’s move positions it squarely within this emerging competitive space—where energy technology, digital control, and sustainability converge.

By linking physical infrastructure to data-driven decision-making, Boost Pro reinforces Schneider Electric’s strategy to deliver intelligent, flexible energy systems that match Europe’s accelerating electrification agenda.
