As the West Asia conflict rages on, triggering energy concerns in the country, Pyxis Pioneer, a Singapore-flagged cargo vessel carrying LPG from the US, arrived at Mangalore Port on Sunday morning.
According to a TOI report, the shipping ministry on Friday said that New Mangalore Port had waived cargo-related charges for crude oil and LPG between March 14 and 31 amid the ongoing West Asia crisis.
Pyxis Pioneer has a gross tonnage of 47,236 tonnes and would discharge 16,714 tonnes of LPG for Aegis Logistics Ltd. at New Mangalore. It would sail out on Monday early morning, as per a Hindu report.
According to reports, one more LPG tanker from the US would arrive at New Mangalore Port with 30,000 tonnes of LPG meant for HPCL on March 29.
