PipeSense has entered the Canadian pipeline market through an exclusive nationwide agency agreement with Monitor Emissions Inc., expanding access to a suite of advanced leak detection, pig tracking and hydrotesting technologies.
The agreement gives Monitor Emissions—an Indigenous-owned inspection and maintenance specialist with strong reach across western Canada—exclusive rights to represent PipeSense solutions across all provinces and territories. The partnership also deepens Monitor Emissions’ collaboration with Sundown Oilfield Services, one of the region’s key pipeline construction and maintenance providers.
PipeSense said the partnership will help bring its “common-sense” approach to pipeline integrity to a broader market outside the U.S., supported by its proprietary systems: PipeGuard, PipeTrack, PipeScan and PipeTest. The technologies employ ultra-high-frequency pressure sampling, machine learning and AI-enabled dashboards designed to reduce downtime, improve reliability and pinpoint leak severity and location with higher accuracy.
Josh Holmes, PipeSense vice president of business development, said the company has tailored its offering for Canada after two years of discussions with operators.
“We have listened closely to the regional issues operators face and adjusted our solutions accordingly,” Holmes said. “With Monitor Emissions, we are now in a strong position to address the challenges that Canadian operators are losing sleep over.”
Monitor Emissions president Lane Arias said PipeSense’s technology aligns with the company’s focus on modernizing emissions oversight, equipment performance and lifecycle optimization.
“PipeSense’s solutions are an ideal addition to our service catalog as we continue working with Sundown Oilfield Services,” Arias said. “Together, we’re enhancing efficiency and capability across Canada’s pipeline and facility footprint.”
