Strategic Education Tool: Nasdaq Carbon Academy equips corporate leaders with foundational and advanced knowledge in carbon dioxide removal (CDR).

Built with Industry Expertise: Developed in partnership with AirMiners, leveraging its accelerator and innovation network in carbon removal.

Scalable Corporate Adoption: The self-paced course supports companies looking to integrate carbon credits into broader climate strategies.

Nasdaq has officially launched the Nasdaq Carbon Academy, an on-demand learning platform designed to educate executives and sustainability leaders on carbon dioxide removal (CDR). Built in collaboration with AirMiners, a prominent accelerator and educational hub in the carbon removal space, the Academy aims to demystify the carbon markets and accelerate corporate climate action.

The five-course program spans the full CDR landscape—from foundational science to carbon credit procurement. Modules include:

Introduction to Carbon Dioxide Removal

Core Carbon Dioxide Removal Concepts

Carbon Dioxide Removal Methodologies

Quality, Value, and Aligning Incentives

Budgeting, Portfolios, and Contracting

Fredrik Ekström, Head of European Product Strategy and Management at Nasdaq and Chairman of Puro.earth, emphasized the strategic value of the platform:

“I am excited to announce that the fruitful collaboration between Nasdaq and AirMiners has resulted in the creation of an insightful educational tool tailored for those interested in the carbon dioxide removal market. With the launch of this platform, we aim to enhance awareness and education surrounding carbon markets.”

Fredrik Ekström, Head of European Product Strategy and Management at Nasdaq

The initiative builds on the AirMiners Buyers Academy pilot, reshaped into a corporate-ready learning experience that fits the evolving ESG and net-zero mandates faced by modern businesses.

“We built this academy so sustainability leaders can go from curious to confident in carbon dioxide removal,” said Tito Jankowski, CEO of AirMiners. “I’m excited for the Carbon Academy to support the next wave of sustainability leaders and their teams to take action on their sustainability goals.”

Tito Jankowski, CEO of AirMiners

Accessible via Nasdaq’s website, the Carbon Academy is open to all professionals seeking to deepen their understanding of CDR and integrate carbon credits into enterprise-wide emission strategies.
