Lucid Air gains Tesla Supercharger access

From 31 July, all Lucid Air models will access over 23,500 Tesla Superchargers using an approved adapter. The carmaker also presented its 2026 lineup. It includes increased range on Touring, upgraded AC compressor, new Aeronaut wheels, and massaging seats on Grand Touring.

Lets start with the 2026 Lucid Air lineup. It includes several updates for efficiency and customer convenience. The Lucid Air Touring increases its EPA-estimated range by over six per cent to 431 miles, while the Air Grand Touring retains up to 512 miles of EPA-estimated range. All models receive an upgraded air conditioning compressor from Lucid Gravity, designed to improve cooling capacity and reduce ambient noise within the cabin. An optional 19-inch Aeronaut wheel is now available in Platinum and Stealth finishes.

The Lucid Air Grand Touring gains standard twenty-way power heated, ventilated, and massaging front seats with power-adjustable bolsters. For Touring models, new higher-density battery cells enable the increased range. Wheel options include the standard 19-inch Aero Range wheels, optional 19-inch Aeronaut wheels with Pirelli P-Zero all-season tyres, and 20-inch Aero Lite wheels with Michelin Pilot Sport tyres.

The Air Pure variant is available with the Mojave PurLuxe Interior featuring standard 12-way power heated seats or optional twenty-way heated, cooled, and massaging seats. A rear centre console display and storage bin are included in the Comfort and Convenience Package. The 2026 Air Pure will come exclusively with DreamDrive Premium.

Eric Bach, Senior Vice-President of Product and Chief Engineer at Lucid Motors, stated: “Enhancements to the Lucid Air for model year 2026 along with regular software updates demonstrate, yet again, Lucid’s commitment to constant and continuing improvement.”

All models now include a 40-amp Mobile Charging Cable Kit as standard. According to the US carmaker, the kit enables charging at 240 volts and 40 amps to add up to 40 miles of range per hour and also includes a NEMA 5-15 adapter for 120-volt charging. The charger supports vehicle-to-vehicle charging using Lucid’s RangeXchange adapter.

Lucid’s DreamDrive Pro suite will add Hands-Free Drive Assist and Hands-Free Lane Change Assist via a software update later this month. Customers can configure the 2026 Lucid Air lineup on Lucid’s website.

Lucid EVs gain access to Tesla charging network

From 31 July 2025, all Lucid Air models will have access to the North American Tesla Supercharger network using a Lucid-approved NACS to CCS1 adapter priced at $220. Charging speeds reach up to 50 kW, providing up to 200 miles of range per hour. Charging sessions can be started via the Lucid App, with payment through Lucid Wallet.

Lucid had announced in November 2023 that it would make the switch to NACS for its models sold in North America. While it will be offering adapters for now, it said that it would integrate the NACS port for future EVs. It thus joins the list of carmakers in the US that now offer access to Tesla’s Supercharging network, such as Kia,  Hyundai, Honda, and Ford.

“In addition to offering the longest-range electric vehicle available, Lucid is committed to offering our customers seamless and wide access to public charging,” said Emad Dlala, Senior Vice President of Powertrain at Lucid Motors. “Access to the Tesla Supercharging network for the Lucid Air is yet another major milestone.”
