Global technology hardware company Lenovo announced the launch of TruScale Device as a Service (DaaS) for Sustainability, a new solution aimed at enabling organizations to reduce the carbon footprint and lower the cost of their IT devices.
Forming part of Lenovo’s device management platform, TruScale DaaS, the new solution provides options at multiple stages of the device lifecycle – including Advise, Implement, Support, Manage, and Retire & Refresh – to help reduce emissions, recover value, and shrink e-waste, according to Lenovo.

Key features of the new solution include a Carbon Impact Portal, providing real-time device-level insights to support ESG reporting; Certified Refurbished Devices enabling lower refresh costs and reduced carbon footprint; CO2 Offset Services, providing lifecycle emissions compensation, and; Asset Recovery Services, offering protected decommissioning and residual value recovery.
Lenovo added the service can contribute to significant device emissions reductions by offering options to extend device life, refurbish hardware, and offset emissions across the lifecycle.
