ISS Sustainability Solutions, the sustainable investment arm of ISS STOXX, will acquire Sust Global to integrate geospatial risk modeling and analytics into investor workflows.

The deal pairs Sust Global’s AI-driven physical risk models with ISS STOXX’s proprietary asset-level data to enhance portfolio, corporate, and index-level risk insights and regulatory reporting.

Financial institutions gain high-resolution, asset-level climate and nature risk intelligence with drill-down capabilities for risk management, diligence, compliance, and engagement.

ISS Sustainability Solutions, the sustainable investment business of ISS STOXX, announced the acquisition of Sust Global, a provider of geospatial risk modeling and analytics used by institutional investors, insurance companies, and others to understand, quantify, and visualize asset-level risks across diverse geo-datasets and domains.

Founded in 2020, Sust Global draws on a proprietary geospatial AI engine to analyze relationships, trends, and patterns within regions, producing high-resolution insights on material climate- and nature-related physical risks. The company delivers flexible data products that integrate into existing institutional client processes, including a visual risk analytics tool, regulatory reporting solutions, data exports, direct API tools, and bespoke solutions. Sust Global’s geospatial platform harmonizes multimodal data, trains domain-specific predictive models, and deploys them into institutional investors’ workflows, applications, and indices.

“Institutional investors’ need for geospatial data and enhanced physical risk analytics is growing rapidly and we are pleased to address that demand through this transaction,” said Till Jung, Head of Sustainability Business at ISS STOXX. “Sust Global is a highly complementary fit whose platform and AI-powered physical risk models pair well with our proprietary asset level data. Our ability to map them to corporates and investment portfolios will result in highly effective solutions for our institutional clients.”
