Expanded Climate Risk Coverage: ICE’s platform now includes risk data for over 20,000 corporates and sovereigns and 3 million global asset locations.

Asset-Level Analysis: Uses building-level geospatial data and scenario-aligned climate risk metrics to inform investment and regulatory decisions.

Unified Climate Risk View: Combines physical and transition risks—including emissions footprints, targets, and exposure to 8 key hazards.

Intercontinental Exchange has expanded its geospatial analytics platform with the launch of the ICE Global Climate Risk Solution, offering institutional investors forward-looking, scenario-aligned risk insights across global asset portfolios.

The platform now covers over 20,000 corporates and sovereigns and 3 million building-level asset locations—with plans to scale up to 9 million—providing detailed exposure assessments to eight key physical climate hazards, including wildfires, floods, and hurricanes.

“We’re excited to bring our advanced geospatial and climate analytics to a wider global audience, helping investors understand where and how climate risks could impact their financial investments,” said Larry Lawrence, Head of ICE Climate.

Larry Lawrence, Head of ICE Climate

The tool integrates building footprint data from 1.6 billion structures globally to deliver high-resolution insights. These include both physical climate risk scores and transition risk metrics—such as emissions footprints and climate targets—creating a comprehensive climate exposure profile for asset managers, corporates, and sovereign debt investors.

“By mapping climate hazards like flooding and wildfires to specific locations and linking them with granular-level data, we are providing investors with greater transparency into both risks and opportunities within their portfolios,” Lawrence added.

The platform’s Hazard Watch feature enhances monitoring of emerging risks, enabling real-time evaluation and improved financial risk translation from climate scenarios. These tools are designed to support investment strategy, asset valuation, and regulatory compliance with climate disclosure frameworks.

ICE’s continued investment in data infrastructure reinforces its role as a leading provider of climate-aligned financial tools that connect environmental risks to asset-level financial decision-making.
