Immaterial Ltd, a Cambridge, UK-based advanced materials and engineering solutions company developing a proprietary technology platform suited towards a diverse range of industrial applications, has announced today the successful closure of its Series A2 funding round successfully raising £13.5M GBP / $18.2 M USD. The investment round was led by SLB with participation from other existing investors including AP Ventures, Moeve and long-term investor and Chairman of Immaterial Ltd, Jogchum Brinksma, as well as new investor Finindus (ArcelorMittal-Flemish Government).
The Immaterial proprietary technology platform can be applied to existing metal–organic framework (MOFs) compositions to deliver an augmented volumetric effluent effect as a result of the monolithic form. Demonstrated pilot use cases include among others point source-carbon capture, intermittent hydrogen storage, water harvesting and HVAC energy reduction solutions.
