Hydrogen Europe’s General Assembly has today appointed new members to its Board of Directors. The association’s Board members, as leaders in the sector, will help to determine its trajectory as we continue working towards a better, more sustainable world.
The newly elected members are:

And they will join the current Board members:

in their constant contribution and support to Hydrogen Europe’s vision and mission.
Additionally, Dr Sopna Sury, Chief Operating Officer Hydrogen of RWE Generation SE, has been reconfirmed as Chair of the Board of Directors, with a mandate lasting until June 2028. She commented on the mission: “It is a deep honour having been re-elected in the Board and re-confirmed as Chair. I’m looking forward to leading our Board members into the next phase of the European hydrogen market scale up. We will work relentlessly to drive production, infrastructure and demand in order to achieve decarbonisation and strengthen European resilience.”
Hydrogen Europe’s CEO Jorgo Chatzimarkakis added “We are delighted to welcome the new members of our board as we continue to strive for a sustainable and resilient Europe. It is a pivotal time for the energy transition and the hard work of our board members will help ensure a successful one with hydrogen playing a key role.”
The new Board of Directors is looking forward to working together with the EU institutions and hydrogen stakeholders to ensure that the objectives laid out in the Green Deal are met on time with a thriving European industrial base creating jobs and growth for Europeans.
