Halliburton has been awarded multiple deepwater contracts by Petrobras to deliver vessel stimulation, intelligent completions, and safety valve systems across key offshore fields in Brazil, following a competitive tender process.

Under the new agreements, Halliburton will deploy its SmartWell® intelligent completion technology in the Búzios field to enable real-time reservoir management and enhance production optimization. The company will also provide EcoStar® electric tubing retrievable safety valves (eTRSVs) for the Séepia and Atapu fields, improving safety and operational efficiency across Petrobras’ deepwater portfolio.
In addition, Halliburton’s Stim Star Brasil vessel will deliver stimulation services designed to increase reservoir productivity and extend field life. The contracts are expected to begin in 2026 and highlight Halliburton’s role as a leading provider of integrated completion and stimulation technologies for complex offshore operations.
“These awards demonstrate our longstanding collaboration with Petrobras and reinforce our shared focus on improving asset value, efficiency, and safety in deepwater operations,” said Shawn Stasiuk, Senior Vice President, Halliburton Completion and Production division.
The new contracts build on decades of cooperation between the two companies and underscore Brazil’s continued investment in advanced subsea and completion technologies to sustain offshore production growth.
