House Democrats released a new batch of photographs from Jeffrey Epstein’s estate.
There are photos of several well-known people, including Bill Gates and Sergey Brin.
Some of the photos appear to have been taken at a conference.

Democrats on the House Oversight Committee released a new batch of photos obtained from Jeffrey Epstein’s estate, with some featuring tech titans Bill Gates and Sergey Brin.

The latest batch comes ahead of the December 19 deadline for the Justice Department to release its own Epstein-related files through the Epstein Files Transparency Act. Thursday’s release marks the latest documents the committee has made public from the files it obtained from the Epstein estate through a subpoena earlier this year.

Inclusion in the photos isn’t an indication of wrongdoing, and some of the pics appear to have been taken at a conference attended by other business professionals.

Epstein — who killed himself in jail in 2019 while awaiting trial for sex-trafficking charges, and who in 2008 pleaded guilty to a lesser sexual offense — has long been the subject of conspiracy theories.

He amassed a fortune worth over $600 million at the time of his death and maintained ties with some of the most powerful people in the world, including President Donald Trump, Bill Clinton, Steve Bannon, and the former Prince Andrew.

Bill Gates was featured in at least two photos in the document trove.

The relationship between Gates and Epstein has been known for years.

They met several times — Gates has said the meetings were about philanthropy — and had ties to some of the same people. Epstein sought to establish a philanthropic organization funded by Gates and housed at JPMorgan Chase, a project that never came to fruition.

Epstein has also named Boris Nikolic, a former advisor to Gates, as a backup executor for his estate.

In the past, Gates has said that he “made a mistake in judgment” when asked about his relationship with the pedophile, calling it “foolish” in an interview with the Journal this year.

In each, he is with a woman whose face has been redacted.

The House Oversight’s document dump did not say when or where the photos were taken or the identities of the women in the photos.

The billionaire has appeared in the Oversight Committee’s Epstein releases before: In September, an email was released that included Epstein’s 2014 schedule, which listed a “tentative breakfast party w/Bill Gates.”

Earlier this month, a photo was released of Gates with one of Epstein’s pilots.

A representative for Gates did not immediately respond to Business Insider’s request for comment about the new photos.

Google cofounder Sergey Brin also appeared in several photos.

Epstein, who maintained a deep relationship with JPMorgan Chase, referred Google cofounder Sergey Brin to the bank as a client in 2004. He later connected Brin with members of the bank who could advise the tech billionaire on tax issues.

Some of the photos of Brin appear to have been taken at events organized by The Edge, a now-dormant organization that arranged conferences about ideas. Epstein also attended some of these events.

In the foreground of one of the photos, Brin appears with New York Times columnist David Brooks.

A representative for Brin did not immediately respond to a request for comment to Business Insider about the photographs.

A spokesperson for Brooks said the journalist attended the event in 2011 “to speak with noted and important business leaders to inform his columns.”

“Mr. Brooks had no contact with him before or after this single attendance at a widely-attended dinner,” the spokesperson said.

Salar Kamangar, the former CEO of YouTube, was featured in photos taken at the same event.

Salar Kamangar, an early Google employee and later the CEO of YouTube, was also featured in Thursday’s photo drop. He appeared to be photographed at the same 2011 event as Brin and Brooks.

Neither Kamangar nor representatives for Google immediately responded to Business Insider’s request for comment about the new photos.
