All 13 DuPont EU sites now operate on 100% renewable grid electricity, enabled through Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs).
Milestone advances DuPont’s path to net-zero carbon emissions by 2050 and aligns with its 2030 Sustainability Goals.
Reinforces DuPont’s commitment to global climate leadership as a RE100 member since 2021.
DuPont has announced that 100% of the grid electricity powering its European Union operations now comes from renewable sources, marking a major milestone in its decarbonization strategy.
The achievement, realized through the use of both bundled and unbundled Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs) and on-site solar installations, spans all 13 of DuPont’s EU manufacturing facilities.
“At DuPont, we are guided by a core value of protecting the planet, aligning our sustainability goals to meet the expectations of our customers, value chain partners and the communities in which we operate,” said Alexa Dembek, DuPont’s Chief Technology & Sustainability Officer.

The move is part of DuPont’s 2030 Sustainability Goals and supports its longer-term ambition of reaching net-zero carbon emissions by 2050.
“Converting our European Union manufacturing sites to 100 percent renewable electricity is a significant step in our journey to further reduce our emissions, lower the carbon footprint of our products and put us on a clear path toward decarbonization in our operations by 2050,” Dembek added.
This milestone also reinforces DuPont’s standing in the RE100 initiative—a global collective of companies committed to sourcing 100% renewable electricity—of which the company has been a member since 2021.
