Sustainability RegTech company Diginex announced that it has completed the acquisition of The Remedy Project Limited, an advisory and research company specializing in labor and human rights in global supply chains.

According to Diginex, the acquisition comes as demand growing global demand for human rights due diligence in supply chains, driven by increasingly stringent regulations, such as the EU’s Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDDD) and similar frameworks worldwide, which increasingly require companies to identify human rights risks, as well as to implement verifiable remediation processes to address those issues.

Founded in 2020, Hong Kong-based The Remedy Project provides solutions aimed at protecting workers’ rights and creating remedy frameworks in global supply chains. The company works with companies, industry associations, governments, and civil society to strengthen human rights due diligence, design and evaluate grievance mechanisms, and support effective remediation and access to remedy for workers, particularly in high-risk sectors and geographies across Asia.

Archana Kotecha, Founder and CEO of The Remedy Project, said:

“For many years, The Remedy Project has focused on one core challenge: how to ensure that human rights due diligence leads to real, enforceable remedy for workers. Joining Diginex allows us to bring together deep human rights expertise, worker-centered methodologies, and technology at scale, bridging the persistent gap between identifying risks and delivering meaningful outcomes.”

Kotecha will join Diginex’s executive team, focusing on remedy innovation and global relationships with corporations and governments.

Diginex provides software solutions aimed at helping companies to streamline ESG, climate, and supply chain data collection and reporting, utilizing blockchain, AI, machine learning and data analysis technology. According to the company, the new acquisition will bring together its data management and reporting capabilities and tools with The Remedy Project’s advisory services in human rights due diligence and expertise, to enable companies to identify and monitor human rights risks, and to also implement effective remediation strategies and comply with evolving global regulations.

Mark Blick, CEO of Diginex, said:

“Completing this acquisition marks a pivotal step in our mission to empower businesses with actionable sustainability solutions. By integrating The Remedy Project’s specialized knowledge in human rights governance, we can amplify the impact of our supply chain platforms, helping clients build more transparent, accountable, and humane global operations.”

The announcement marks the latest in a series of recently announced transactions by Diginex, including an agreement to acquire carbon measurement, reporting and reduction software provider Plan A in December, the acquisition of ESG data company Matter from Nasdaq in October, and of supply chain risk monitoring platform Findings in August.

As consideration for the acquisition Diginex issued 1 million shares (Nasdaq: DGNX, $3.83) to the sole shareholder of The Remedy Project, and committed to issue up to an additional million shares provided certain operating and earnout targets are met over the next three years.
