DHL eCommerce is partnering with Georgia Tech to create a direct hiring pipeline for industrial engineers.

The company announced a gold sponsorship with Georgia Tech’s H. Milton Stewart School of Industrial and Systems Engineering. It marks DHL eCommerce’s first formal university partnership in the U.S.
The one-year deal gives DHL access to career fairs, advisory board meetings and other recruiting events. It also includes a Senior Design project in which students will work on real-world DHL operational challenges.
Four graduating students are expected to join DHL eCommerce in summer 2026 as Operations Industrial Engineer I employees, entering the company’s four-level engineering program.
“This partnership accelerates the integration of high-level engineering talent into our technical operations,” said Mehmet Gur, Sr. Director of Operations Engineering, DHL eCommerce, Americas. “Collaborating with Georgia Tech allows us to apply new analytical perspectives to our network, ensuring our operations remain competitive.”
DHL has already been working with Georgia Tech seniors since January 2025. Students have helped build a large-package rack prototype and a long-range planning tool for inbound and outbound packages.
Gabriel Larios, now an Operations Industrial Engineer III at DHL eCommerce, joined the company 2.5 years ago after graduating from Georgia Tech.
“DHL eCommerce has given me the opportunity of growing professionally since I joined 2.5 years ago as an industrial engineering graduate from Georgia Tech. I started as an Operations Industrial Engineer level I and recently got promoted to level III, having the chance of gaining experience while continuously expanding my expertise,” said Larios. “It has been an incredibly rewarding journey in which I have learned a lot from the members of the engineering group as well as other departments.”
