B.Grimm Power Plc and Singapore’s Digital Edge will invest $1 billion to build a 100-megawatt data centre in Thailand, targeting a Q4 2026 launch to support soaring demand for AI, cloud, and digital services in Southeast Asia.
Located in Chon Buri province, about 100 kilometers from Bangkok, the new facility will be “fast-tracked” to meet the needs of global tech firms scaling up AI infrastructure in the region.
“By combining renewable energy with cutting-edge data centre technology, we’re enabling the country’s transformation into a regional AI and cloud innovation hub,” said Harald Link, Group President of B.Grimm Power.
This project comes as Thailand accelerates its digital infrastructure ambitions, offering tax incentives and favorable policies to attract global tech giants. Recent announcements include:

“Thailand stands out as one of Asia’s most compelling markets for digital growth with surging demand for AI and machine learning,” said John Freeman, CEO of Digital Edge.” he added.
The facility will be designed to meet sustainability benchmarks, tapping into Thailand’s clean energy grid—a key priority for tech companies seeking carbon-neutral operations.
Looking ahead, B.Grimm Power is studying further investments totaling $1.6 billion for up to 200 additional megawatts in data centre capacity, according to Usa Nuetap, Head of Data Centre Development at B.Grimm Power.
The partnership marks a strategic alignment of digital and energy infrastructure, reinforcing Thailand’s position as a next-generation digital economy leader in Asia.
