On the back of its multi-year licensing round launched in 2019, Angola is positioned to award 60 concessions by the end of 2025. Kazakhstan backs the OPEC+ group’s decision to reverse part of the production cuts, Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said on Friday. “The president has emphasized Kazakhstan’s support for the decision by OPEC+ to gradually increase oil production volumes, prioritizing the protection of national interests,” Tokayev’s press service said in a statement, after the president met with OPEC Secretary General Haitham Al Ghais. A blaze broke out at Chevron Corp.’s El Segundo refinery in Los Angeles County, the latest threat to fuel supplies in a state that’s already bracing for shortfalls. Firefighters responded after multiple reports of an explosion at the El Segundo operation, south of Los Angeles airport, on Thursday evening local time. Industrial and electronic gas producer Inox Air Products (Inox AP) has started building a ₹500-crore electronic specialty gas hub at Dholera in Gujarat, said a top executive.The facility will look to cater to demand from the semiconductor manufacturing ecosystem being built around Tata Electronics in Dholera. Sable Offshore Corp said it had filed a request before the California Office of the State Fire Marshal (OSFM) to restart the Las Flores Pipeline System, warning it would opt to divert oil flows outside the state if delays continue.
