(WO) — Aker Solutions has secured a five-year brownfield services contract extension from ExxonMobil Canada Properties, as operator of the Hebron platform offshore Newfoundland and Labrador. The agreement covers continued maintenance and modification (M&M) services and will be booked as an order intake in the fourth quarter of 2025 under the company’s Life Cycle segment.

The brownfield M&M contract represents a significant award, valued between NOK 1.5 billion and NOK 2.5 billion. It extends the original engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) enabling agreement awarded in 2015, under which Aker Solutions has delivered a range of platform upgrades and modifications.
“We will leverage our multi-discipline Project Execution Model to deliver fit-for-purpose solutions with speed and precision, ensuring successful outcomes while reducing costs,” said Paal Eikeseth, Executive Vice President and Head of Aker Solutions’ Life Cycle business.
The work will be managed from Aker Solutions’ St. John’s office, where the company has expanded its workforce from 100 to 350 employees in recent years. The project underscores Aker Solutions’ long-term commitment to Canada’s East Coast oil and gas industry, where it has provided multi-disciplinary services for more than three decades.
“We are pleased to continue our collaboration with ExxonMobil Canada Properties, as operator of the Hebron platform,” Eikeseth added. “Canada is a key market for us, and we remain focused on delivering strong customer value through our local capabilities and experience.”
