The qualification confirms that ModuSpec’s real-time monitoring workflow meets DNV requirements for performance, robustness and data integrity in safety-critical BOP monitoring and testing. The approval supports growing regulatory expectations for digital well control assurance on the Norwegian Continental Shelf.
DNV’s TQ covers ModuSpec’s real-time monitoring functionality within Argus, which consolidates critical rig data into a single digital environment and provides continuous visibility of BOP status and other key well control systems. The platform integrates analytics, case management and auditable reporting to support regulatory engagement and condition-based maintenance planning.
ModuSpec’s offering is delivered alongside its strategic partner Offshore Technical Compliance, which previously received DNV Technology Qualification for digital pressure testing. Together, the companies provide a fully qualified digital workflow covering both BOP monitoring and testing.
According to ModuSpec, the system has already been used in live operations to identify abnormal equipment behavior early, allowing operators to intervene before issues escalate and helping to avoid unplanned downtime. With DNV Technology Qualification now secured, the company said the platform is ready for wider adoption by Norwegian operators as digital assurance requirements continue to evolve.
