Nike has appointed Cimarron Nix as its new Chief Sustainability Officer, according to an internal company email by Nike’s Chief Operating Officer Venkatesh Alagirisamy seen by ESG Today.
The new appointment fills the CSO position at Nike that has been vacant since September 2025, following the departure of Jaycee Pribulsky from the role to become Chief Sustainability Officer at alternative investment manager Apollo.
Nix joined Nike in 2017 as Director of Labor, Sustainable Manufacturing and Sourcing, and has most recently been serving as VP, Global Apparel and Accessories Manufacturing. Prior to joining Nike, she held a series of sustainability and supply chain-focused roles, including serving as Program Manager, Human Rights and Supply Chain Responsibility at Hewlett Packard Enterprise, Labor, Health and Safety Program Manager, Supply Chain Responsibility at HP, and Social Responsibility Manager at J.Crew.
According to the email, in her new role, Nix will be responsible for leading Nike’s enterprise sustainability strategy, including “deliver(ing) measurable progress toward our sustainability targets while helping shape the vision and priorities for our extended team of sustainability experts embedded across the enterprise.”
Nix will officially take on her new CSO role on March 15, and will report to Alagirisamy.
In the message, Alagirisamy said:
“At Nike, sustainability is integral to how we serve athletes and grow our business. One of our greatest advantages is our ability to innovate at scale — driving a responsive, resilient, responsible and efficient value chain. With that in mind, I’m excited to share that Cimarron Nix will become our new NIKE, Inc., Chief Sustainability Officer (CSO), leading the Global Sustainability team.”
