JPMorgan announced the appointment of Robert Keepers as Head of Climate Tech within the firm’s Green Economy Banking team.
Keepers has been with JPMorgan for nearly 20 years, most recently serving as a Managing Director within the Renewable Energy Group of the firm’s Corporate Client Banking & Specialized Industries team. Prior to focusing on renewables, Keepers held a series of roles focused on energy banking, including advising oil & gas companies on strategic capital solutions and risk management strategies.

JPMorgan launched its Green Economy team in 2021, to provide financial expertise and services to companies advancing decarbonization. The team provides sector-specific expertise across three coverage areas, including renewable energy, sustainable finance and climate tech. Within the Climate Tech team, the firm serves companies advancing decarbonization through technologies ranging from EV manufacturing and charging, energy storage, and agriculture and food technology, to waste management and energy-efficient software.
JPMorgan has set goals to finance and facilitate more than $2.5 trillion over 10 years to advance sustainable development, including $1 trillion to support green initiatives. The firm recently revealed that as of the end of 2024, it had achieved $900 billion towards its sustainable development finance goal, including $309 billion towards its green objective.
In a post announcing the new appointment, Eric Cohen, Group Head & Managing Director – Green Economy & Renewable Energy Banking at JPMorgan Chase said:
“Rob’s 19+ years at J.P. Morgan, passion for mentoring, and extensive background in the energy sector will be instrumental in helping our clients across Climate Tech grow their businesses and advance an energy-secure, low-carbon future.”
