Meta adds 791 MW of wind and solar power through four new Invenergy deals, pushing total capacity from the partnership to 1,800 MW.

Over 740 MW of new clean energy will be generated in Ohio alone, supporting Meta’s growing AI and data infrastructure needs.

All projects are expected to begin commercial operations in 2027, with Meta receiving clean energy credits from the local grid-supplied power.

Meta has signed four new clean energy agreements with Invenergy totaling 791 MW, reinforcing its push to power expansive data center and AI operations with sustainable electricity. These deals elevate Meta’s total procured capacity from Invenergy to 1,800 MW.

“We’re laser-focused on advancing our AI ambitions—and to do that, we need clean, reliable energy,” said Urvi Parekh, Meta’s Head of Global Energy. “We’re grateful for Invenergy’s longtime partnership that helps us support our energy needs and implement our clean energy goals.”

The electricity, sourced from solar and wind, will be delivered through four Invenergy-developed energy centers across the U.S.—with over 740 MW generated in Ohio:

Yellow Wood Solar Energy Center (OH) – 300 MW

Pleasant Prairie Solar Energy Center (OH) – 140 MW

Decoy Solar Energy Center (AR) – 155 MW

All sites are expected to reach commercial operations in 2027. While the electricity enters the local grids, Meta will claim the associated clean energy credits.

“Winning the AI race requires reliable, cleaner, affordable energy and energy infrastructure—today and in the future,” said Ted Romaine, Invenergy’s EVP of Origination. “We’re grateful for our continued relationship with Meta and look forward to future partnerships as we work to strengthen American energy independence and economic prosperity.”
